About Me
I'm Jamie Glendinning, an AWS Solutions Architect who believes life is too short to spend all of it indoors. When I'm not designing cloud architectures or automating infrastructure, you'll find me soaring through the skies with my UP Kangri X paraglider.
Based in the beautiful Scottish Borders with my wife and two teenage boys, I'm a proud member of the Wingbeat Paragliding Club - possibly the UK's smallest club with more flying sites than members! Our two Labrador dogs are always eager for the next adventure, whether it's a hike to a flying site or exploring the local hills.

W. Glendinnings & Son - A Family Legacy
While I've chosen the path of cloud computing and paragliding, I'm proud to come from a family with deep Scottish roots and a remarkable business heritage. W. Glendinnings & Son has been serving the community of Annan, Dumfries and Galloway since 1882.
Founded by my ancestor Walter Glendinning, this historic family business has been providing quality menswear and kilt hire for over 140 years. The shop, located at 107-109 High Street in Annan, continues to be run by family members and offers one of the largest ranges of kilt hire in South West Scotland with 10 house tartans.
Though I'm not involved in the day-to-day operations, I'm delighted to promote this piece of Scottish heritage. Whether you need formal Highland dress for a wedding, Burns supper, or any special occasion, they provide authentic Scottish attire with the expertise that only comes from generations of experience.
